Subscribe to messages that indicate problems, and proactively correct them before they affect your users.

For example, a user is logged in at two machines. They change their password on one but shortly afterward, their account gets locked out by the other machine using the user's old credentials. You can get notified of account lockouts in real time, and be able to unlock the user's account, as well as give them a call and have them log out of the second machine to prevent further lockouts.

Most Event Log systems simply gather events into a database, but without a way to sort through them it can be too overwhelming and the database ends up collecting messages for the occasional search. Contrast that with subscriptions, where you can identify messages of interest, subscribe to be notified of them, and then take action to resolve them.

Correlation Analysis

Notice a problem while checking the Event Log of one machine? Use the Event Log history in the EventMaster database to find out when it started, and how many other machines are experiencing the same problem! Find correlations between different problems and discover cause and effect relationships in your environment.

Delegation

As an administrator or an IT manager, delegate to others by setting up subscriptions for them to receive alerts for selected messages.

For example, you are the senior network administrator and you set up the company Logon Script to send a message whenever it finds a machine low on disk space. You can set up a subscription for one of your techs to be notified of the low disk space messages so that they can take corrective action before it causes a problem for the user.
